Japan’s leading optical products manufacturer was recently hit by a cyberattack that saw them shut down activity for three days, while computers were used to mine cryptocurrencies.

 

 


Facebook and Co Suffer Another Outage

Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp were all affected by the second outage in two months. Many users reported difficulty using the apps – prompting theories around what crisis had befallen the social media giant.

 

 

 


Microsoft’s Cindy Rose Encourages Girls in Tech

Speaking at the recent DigiGirlz event, Cindy Rose – Microsoft UK’s CEO – delivered a stirring speech, declaring those present ‘the generation that will shape the future’.
